Sykes Wins STAR Award With 14.2 Million Calls

Sykes was notified that it won the prestigious Software Technical Assistance Recognition (STAR) Award for sustained performance for the 4th consecutive year. The Sustained Performance award recognizes a consistent record of delivering world-class support, with high levels of customer satisfaction for at least three consecutive years. The award covers U.S. customer support performance for the period October 1997 – September 1998.
The STAR award is presented annually by the Software Support Professionals Association (SSPA), an organization comprised of technical and support professionals from the world’s leading software companies. Former winners include IBM and Microsoft.
Laurie Jones, Director of Market Analysis, submitted Sykes’ entry, which touts that, “in the 12 months since September 1997, Sykes U.S. Customer Support Centers handled 14.2 million calls with an average answer speed of two minutes. This achievement shows the dedication, willingness, and enthusiasm of Sykes people.”
Sykes will receive the award during a ceremony on Tuesday, December 8 in Monterey, California.
