San Jose, February 22, 2015. The eleventh edition of CINDE Job Fair evoked the 9,800 participants during the three days of activity. The largest bilingual country fair concluded its 2015 edition on Sunday.
The 53 multinational companies stressed that there was a marked improvement in the profile of the participants, as well as an improved grasp of English this year. This year, the BELT language test, by Idioma Internacional, was implemented in the pre-registration page www.cindejobfair2015.com, which served as a measuring parameter in the management of a second language.
According to an estimate made at the end of the afternoon, on average each person shared their resume with two companies during their visit to the fair.
For the Managing Director of CINDE, Jorge Sequeira, the fair this year met its goal of profiling the candidates attending the activity even more.
“The report that shared by companies is that there was a substantial improvement this year in the quality of the candidates who came to look for a job opportunity. Precisely, the creation of an online pre-registration allowed candidates to prepare prior to the activity and they came more informed about the positions available and which companies to apply to. For next year we expect to implement further improvements that will benefit people in their goal of finding a quality job. ”
During the morning the Minister of Education, Sonia Marta Mora and Labour Minister Victor Morales, toured the 53 stands of companies. Also did the CEO of INA, Minor Rodriguez in the afternoon. There they found employment opportunities generated by multinational companies in the country. They witnessed how Costa Ricans meet quality expectations that companies require and were satisfied with the organization of the fair.
Rolf Sander, Director of Operations of Syniverse, said that this year they managed to fill all their openings with candidates who attended the fair. “It was a great experience, very nice, not only because of the logistics of the show but for the quality of the candidates. The positions we were looking for were complex and so far I can tell you that we have already hired staff. We even brought five US managers who joined interviews and even they themselves were responsible for offering jobs to those who qualified “.
Albert Paredes, Vice President of Operations of TradeStation said “we were looking for very specific positions, software developers and test engineers for our platform and in the three days of the show we analyzed 100 potential candidates for such positions. Now we are going to start calling them to continue the recruitment process. This year we saw an improvement in the knowledge of English and that makes us very motivated. ”
